Get an extra Hibernate button in XP's shutdown menu

| Saturday, March 15, 2008 |

Here is another cool trick for Windows XP users. You might have seen or may not have seen an extra button of hibernation at the shutdown label. Yes the hackers have found a way to make the hibernation button permanent for the users.now you don't need to get the Shift+standby key combination to hibernate your PC.
follow the steps given below :

1. Download the patch at this link.
2. Run the hostfix file'WindowsXP-KB893056-x86-ENU.exe'.
3. Run 1 AddToShutdown.reg.
4. If you use the classic menus (when part of a domain), run the 2 AddToClassicMenu.reg.
5. Restart to complete the process.

for the people who dont know what hibernation button does - Hibernate is useful because it saves the status of your Windows XP session (all the programs and documents you have open) to the hard drive, so it can automatically restore it the next time you power up.
